TaxSlayer.com is a full-featured online tax filing system that has been used by millions of taxpayers to securely and accurately file their taxes. It offers the most comprehensive free file program available which allows taxpayers to file BOTH state and federal tax returns for FREE.

You meet at least one of the following:
  • Your federal adjusted gross income (FAGI) is less than $10,000
  • You qualify for earned income tax credit
  • You served Active Duty Military (including reservists, National Guard and Coast Guard) with a military W2
  • your household income is less than $54,000 and
    • you are age 25 or younger, or
    • you are age 65 or older.

Definitions:

Federal adjusted gross income (FAGI): On your 2007 federal tax return, this is the amount on line 4 of Form 1040EZ, line 21 of Form 1040A, or line 37 of Form 1040.

Earned income tax credit (EITC): See IRS Information concerning eligibility for EITC. The IRS EITC Assistant can be used to determine your eligibility for the credit.
