This option is designed for a tax preparer who wants to register and pay (if required) individually.
There are two steps to the registration process:
1. Create an Online Services account, if you don’t already have one.
- You need to create an Individual Online Services account.
- This account is associated with you personally, and will use your social security number for verification purposes.
- You should use your own income tax filing history to create this account.
- DO NOT use your client’s information to create your Online Services account.
2. Complete the Tax Preparer Registration online service
- Once you login to your account, you will see a list of available services.
- Select the link for “Register myself as a tax preparer”
- After you complete the registration process you will receive a confirmation number and you will have an opportunity to print your Registration Certificate.
